Modern Slavery Statement

Press Power Group specialises in the supply and installation of electrical and energy efficiency systems as well as the preventative and reactive maintenance services for electrical contracts and projects throughout Central West NSW.

The purpose of this statement is for Press Power Group to outline our approach to ensuring that Press Power Group has robust frameworks and processes in place to minimise the risk of modern slavery in our business operations and supply chain.

Press Power Group recognise that slavery and human trafficking can occur in many forms, as considered in the Modern Slavery Act (2018). These can include, but are not limited to, slavery, servitude, human trafficking, forced marriage, forced labour, debt bondage, child labour, and deceptive recruiting for labour or services. Press Power Group is fully committed to operating responsibly and establishing and adhering to the highest ethical standards across our business. Human trafficking or modern slavery will not be tolerated, in any form, within our business.

We are incorporating our approach to address the various risks of modern slavery practices in our Compliance framework and assurance processes. This will ensure that our organisation has robust and effective processes that are firmly embedded in how we do business. Press Power Group recognises the importance of protecting human rights and is committed to protecting the rights of all people including its employees, the communities in which the Company operates, those who may be impacted by its activities, its customers, and those within its supply chains.

We have formal policies already in place that are intended to promote ethical and legally compliant business conduct. To underpin the commitments laid out, Press Power Group aims to implement the following measures:

  • Conduct risk assessments to determine which parts of the business are most at risk from modern slavery so efforts can be focused on these areas.
  • Where appropriate, as informed by the risk assessment, engage directly with new suppliers in respect of the Anti-Slavery Policy to gain a proper understanding of the measures they have in place to ensure that modern slavery is not occurring within their own businesses.
  • Our contractual documentation will incorporate specific prohibition against slavery or servitude, the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, and the use of child labour in line with this policy.
  • Continually monitor our process to minimise any breaches to our policies.
